Água a domicílio em Cachaço de cima já é uma realidade

Os moradores da zona de cachaço de cima já têm água em suas casas investimento da Câmara Municipal da Ribeira Brava enquadrado na política da autarquia que almeja 100 por cento de água a domicilio em todo o município, até o final do mandato.


A inauguração aconteceu este domingo, dia 13 de Setembro e na sua intervenção o presidente, Américo Nascimento, garantiu que a edilidade vem trabalhando todos os dias para que os compromissos sejam cumpridos embora não seja fácil dada a conjuntura actual.
“Mas é preciso esforço de todos e sempre acreditando que é possível e assim aconteceu em cachaço onde um grande número de pessoas aderiu para conjuntamente com a edilidade concretizar este projecto, sendo uma realização bipartida” disse Américo Nascimento.
Sendo uma zona alta é preciso que a água seja bombeada o que encarece o projecto. Mas mais um passo já foi dado rumo ao desenvolvimento e a população que se fez presente fez questão de lembrar as dificuldades em ter acesso a esse bem precioso, tendo que percorrer, num passado bem recente, grandes distâncias para o conseguir.
Muitos, como fizeram questão de frisar tinham de ir até a zona de hortelã ou outras zonas para adquirir água e os mais velhos garantem que o esforço era ainda redobrado devido às dificuldades físicas em conseguir transportar a água até a zona alta.
O presidente lembrou que água para todos tem sido a bandeira da sua equipa pois está consciente da importância da água na vida de qualquer ser humano, pelo que tem vindo a trabalhar para que até o final do mandato cada família tenha uma torneira na sua casa.
A diminuição de água na ilha é visível em consequência da falta de chuva dos últimos anos, pelo que é necessário fazer um uso racionalizado da água, advertiu o autarca que fez questão de lembrar o projecto de dessalinização de água que vem colmatando a falta de água evitando filas e dificuldades no acesso à agua.
