A ligação de energia 24h em Juncalinho foi recebida, este sábado 19, com fogo-de-artifício e muitos aplausos dos populares que compareceram em massa para a inauguração de mais um projecto importante para o desenvolvimento desta comunidade.
“Hoje é um dia de alegria e de vitória, pois foram vencidos vários obstáculos para que hoje estivéssemos cá para dar mais este importante salto no desenvolvimento desta comunidade que está a ganhar as condições de uma vila”.
Foi com estas palavras que o edil, Américo Nascimento, começou a sua intervenção no acto inaugural, lembrando, ao mesmo tempo, que as coisas não se conseguem da noite para o dia e que o desenvolvimento é processo.
“Por isso é preciso sempre ter uma atitude positiva e acreditar que com esforço e abnegação é possível, aliás essa tem sido uma das minhas mensagens desde que assumi os destinos deste concelho onde já só falta a localidade de Carriçal ter energia eléctrica, mas o seu dia está a chegar”, frisou o presidente.
Em Carriçal já foi construída a central fotovoltaica e os equipamentos para a sua montagem estarão no município dentro de dias para que nos próximos três meses haja energia eléctrica nessa localidade recorrendo às energias renováveis.
Esteve presente também na inauguração o presidente do Concelho da Administração da Electra, Alexandre Fontes, que apelou à comunidade para fazer um uso consciente da energia, sem ter que sufocar o orçamento familiar, assim como aconselhou que se aproveite esta nova fase para a criação do auto-emprego.
Os conselhos de Alexandre Fontes não ficaram por aqui, uma vez que lembrou que cada um deve assumir as suas responsabilidades e o pagamento do consumo de energia e o uso legal da mesma é sempre a solução viável.
Isto porque, disse o PCA da Electra, embora não seja o caso de São Nicolau, em muitas ilhas o roubo de energia tem dificultado o fornecimento devido.
O projecto de extensão de energia eléctrica e a construção da Central Única em São Nicolau estão orçados em cerca de 430 mil contos contando com o financiamento da ORET-Holanda, pelo Fundo Internacional para o Desenvolvimento (OFID em inglês) e pelo Banco para o Investimento e Desenvolvimento da CEDEAO.
