Ribeira Brava, 14 Out - Iniciou hoje, dia 14 de Outubro, a formação de Cozinha, um curso de capacitação de 100 horas destinados aos profissionais que trabalham na área de restauração no município da Ribeira Brava. O curso que é uma parceria entre o IEFP e a Câmara Municipal da Ribeira Brava, tem por objectivo capacitar e qualificar os participantes para esta área, garantindo-lhes técnicas de restauração, atendimento e confecção de diversos tipos de refeições. Participa nesta formação cerca de 18 participantes.

Ribeira Brava, 14 Out - Dando cumprimento ao estabelecido no Plano Anual da Câmara da Ribeira Brava, no item «UMA ESCOLA UM COMPUTADOR», foram entregues, numa parceria com a CVTELECOM, nesta semana, mais computadores a seis escolas do Município. Trata-se de uma promessa feita pelo edil Américo Nascimento a qual se vai, paulatinamente, transformando em realidade para a alegria e satisfação estampada no rosto dos alunos beneficiários

Ribeira Brava, 11 Out - Celebrou-se no passado dia 10 de Outubro, domingo, a festa da padroeira da Freguesia da Nossa Senhora do Rosário também conhecida por festa de Outubro. Fieis oriundos de vários pontos da ilha deslocaram à Cidade da Ribeira Brava para ouvirem a missa e participarem na procissão em honra à Nossa Senhora do Rosário. A igreja apesar das suas dimensões foi exigua para acolher todos quantos gostariam de assistir perto do altar a santa missa. A celebração contou com a presença de quatro padres capuchinhos, com destaque para o Frei Danilson Andrade, natural de Porto Novo-Santo Antão, e Vice-Paroco na ilha Brava, a quem coube a honra de presidir o acto. No final da cerimonia, houve a hasta pública(praça) dos produtos horticolas oferecidas pelos agricultores do municipio. De salientar ainda a transmissão da missa em directo e em exclusivo pela Rádio Comunitária através da internet para os nossos conterrâneos espalhados pelos quatro cantos do mundo.
