Câmara Municipal da Ribeira Brava celebra o Dia Mundial da Água

Ribeira Brava, 23 Mar - A Comemoração do Dia Mundial da Agua, a 22 de Março, é uma iniciativa resultante da Conferência das Nações Unidas sobre o Ambiente e o Desenvolvimento, realizada no Rio de Janeiro em 1992 e aprovado posteriormente por uma resolução da Assembleia Geral das Nações Unidas. Símbolo de vida eterna, a agua é também a grande fonte desta vida que, aqui na terra, tudo põe em movimento. Sem agua não há vida.

Integrada dentro das comemorações desse dia, a Câmara Municipal da Ribeira Brava, organizou um programa de actividades, que teve o seu inicio com a presentação do Plano Municipal de Água, 2010-2012, da qual participaram várias entidades públicas do país e ONG´s, a salientar, O Presidente da Câmara Municipal do Tarrafal, O Director Geral do Ambiente, O Presidente da Electra, ADAD e Eleitos Municipais.

O Plano, apresentado pelo Vereador Adilson Melicio, tem objectivos e metas claros a serem alcançados, de forma a produzir água potável de qualidade associada às energias renováveis como aumentar a produção, com recurso à dessalinização e exploração de água subterrânea e aumentar também a ligação de água ao domicílios.

Os primeiros passos já começaram a serem dados neste sentido, visto que foi inaugurado o reservatório de 500 toneladas em Calejão e hoje, será lançado o primeiro tubo para a ligação domiciliária em Chã de Norte.

Ainda o programa conta com a inauguração do Museu da Água, em Cachaço, hoje pelas 17H00.
