Ribeira Brava, 03 Mai - O Centro foi inaugurado no dia 02 de Maio, pelo Presidenta da Câmara Municipal da Ribeira Brava, contando com as presenças do Director Geral do Planeamento, Orçamento e Gestão do Ministério da Descentralização, Habitação e Ordenamento do Território e da representante da Cooperação Espanhola, entidade financiadora da infra-estrutura.

Num ambiente de muita festa e de grande participação popular, a infra-estrutura foi entregue à população local na véspera de Santa Cruz, festa da localidade, que vem ganhando cada vez maior expressão.

Recorde-se que a primeira pedra foi lançada pelo Primeiro Ministro, José Maria Neves, a 11 de Maio de 2009. A infra-estrutura multiusos custou mais de sete mil contos e é constituída por um chafariz, lavandaria, bebedouro, este mais recuado, por questões de higiene, e no 1º andar por um centro para jovens dotado já de três computadores portáteis ligados à rede Internet e de telefone. Os computadores e o mobiliário foram doados por Nádia Nascimento, natural e residente no Canadá, filha de José Nascimento, natural do Município da Ribeira Brava.
