Ribeira Brava - 10 de Setembro. A Câmara Municipal da Ribeira Brava procede, amanhã, dia 11 de Setembro, pelas 17 horas, à inauguração da 1ª fase de abdução de água à zona Leste, cujo acto será presidido pelo Ministro de Estado e da Saúde, Dr. Basílio Mosso Ramos.

Esta 1ª fase do projecto leva o precioso líquido até à zona denominada “condomíno” em Chã de Norte. Recorde-se que Chã de Norte é uma das zonas de expansão da Cidade da Ribeira Brava com o processo de elaboração do Plano Urbanístico Detalhado em andamento.

Esta primeira fase está avaliada em cerca de 8 mil contos, sendo que o projecto da edilidade é o de levar água até Juncalinho, num percurso de 22 Km. Aliás, no Plano Municipal de Água, que deverá vigorar até 2012, prevê-se investimentos superiores a 300 mil contos, incluindo a dessalinização da água do mar, com a aquisição de uma unidade dessalinizadora, com a capacidade de produzir 1200 metros cúbicos de água por dia.
