luz_covoada.jpgRibeira Brava, 30 Dez. - Era por volta das 18 horas, do dia 29 de Dezembro, quando a empresa Eletric fazia o primeiro teste para a iluminação pública na localidade de Covoada. Para o Engenheiro Graça, um dos sócios da empresa, o desafio lançando pela Câmara Municipal da Ribeira Brava, foi alcançado para que a população de covoada pudesse viver mais um dos momentos únicos na história daquela localidade. Por sua vez, o Delegado da Electra em São Nicolau, Artur Silva, lançou o repto à população para o próximo desafio, que é de levar a energia à casa das pessoas, o que por certo, cada morador irá providenciar os documentos exigidos para o efeito. Bernardo Brito, em nome da população, agradeceu o empenho da Câmara Municipal e do Governo na concretização de mais um sonho da população residente, e espera que doravante Covoada entre definitivamente no rumo de desenvolvimento, sendo certo que esta ilha está diferente para melhor e vai ganhando a cada dia que passa a batalha do desenvolvimento.
