Ribeira Brava, 18 Jan. - A Câmara Municipal da Ribeira Brava, reunida na sua reunião ordinária do dia 18 de Janeiro de 2011, de entre outros assuntos discutidos durante a mesma, deliberou sobre o seguinte:
I. Transformar o Município da Ribeira Brava num Município verde e ecologicamente saudável.
A Câmara Municipal, com base na declaração saída do encontro inter-municipal (Ribeira Brava e Tarrafal), realizado a 30 de Setembro, na cidade da Ribeira Brava, reafirma o seu firme propósito de transformar o Município da Ribeira Brava num Município verde e ecologicamente saudável. Para o efeito pretende, com o apoio das Nações Unidas e de outros parceiros, elaborar um plano, com programas e projectos, que tenha em linha de conta várias vertentes, nomeadamente:
1 - A utilização, em grande escala, das energias renováveis no Município, tendo como meta, até 2015, uma percentagem de cobertura igual ou superior a 50% das necessidades em energia; 2 - Uma rede de esgotos e tratamento das águas residuais na cidade da Ribeira Brava; 3 - Um aterro sanitário, recolha selectiva, tratamento e reciclagem do lixo; 4 - Aumento da área verde e protecção das espécies endémicas; 5 - Protecção e promoção do Parque natural do Monte Gordo; 6 - Aumento da área irrigada e generalização das novas tecnologias ligadas à agricultura; 7 - Utilização racional da água e reaproveitamento das águas residuais; 8 - Dessalinização da água do mar, tendo como meta produzir água dessalinizada até o final do primeiro semestre 2011; 9 - Ligação de água a domicílio a 95% das casas do município, até 2012; 10 - Bombagem de água com recurso às energias renováveis;
