Ribeira Brava, 17 Fev. - O governo de Cabo Verde está investindo cada vez mais na Governação electrónica que caracteriza-se como uma estratégia fundamental para o desenvolvimento de Cabo Verde. Para responder às necessidades de conectividade da Rede do Estado que incorpora, de forma crescente, serviços desconcentrados e municípios, está em implementação, pelo NOSi, o Projecto Upgrade da Rede da Governação Electrónica de Cabo Verde, co-financiado pela República da China. Este projecto visa essencialmente o melhoramento das infra-estruturas de comunicação da rede do estado, ligando cada vez mais e melhor os Concelhos do país à Rede do Estado, e incidindo nas instituições que são hoje integradas estendendo-se ainda às escolas e serviços de saúde. A nível da Educação pretende-se aproveitar a o Programa “Mundu Novo”, criando uma rede que possibilitará a todas as escolas do país terem acesso à internet e a conteúdos Web, usufruindo de vídeo-conferências e E- education. Pretende-se igualmente, introduzir na Rede de Estado todos os Hospitais, Delegacias de Saúde e maioria dos Centros de Saúde, que por sua vez poderão beneficiar da Telemedicina. Para a implementação do projecto é necessário instalar em todos os municípios Estações de Comunicação em locais estrategicamente bem localizados do ponto de vista tecnológico. No Município da Ribeira Brava, em estreita parceria com a Câmara Municipal o espaço foi identificado e cedido, sendo que os trabalhos deverão começar dentro de poucos dias.
