casa_men_xinha_005.jpgRibeira Brava, 18 de Fev. - Manuel Almeida, mais conhecido por Mané Xinha, vivia numa situação deplorável, mesmo na cidade da Ribeira Brava, zona de Ladeira. A Câmara Municipal, no seu sentido de justiça social, fez uma intervenção na velha moradia, dando as mínimas condições de habitabilidade, para grande satisfação de Mané Xinha.  Num acto simples, presenciado por alguns familiares, a casa foi entregue a Mané Xinha que, emocionado agradeceu ao Presidente da Câmara por esse nobre gesto. A Câmara Municipal da Ribeira Brava tem um número elevado de pedidos de apoio que vai satisfazendo aos poucos e conforme as possibilidades, dado os avultados recursos necessários para fazer face às intervenções nas casas de pessoas carenciadas, principalmente depois das fortes chuvas de 2009 que deixaram muitas habitações em situação de fragilidade.
