Ribeira Brava, 07 de Março. - A Câmara Municipal da Ribeira Brava efectuou no dia 04 de Fevereiro, no salão nobre dos Paços do Concelho, um encontro com os emigrantes em férias de Carnaval. A abrir o encontro, o Presidente da Câmara Municipal, Américo Nascimento, manifestou aos emigrantes presentes o seu agrado pela afluência bastante expressiva dos emigrantes nas festas do Carnaval. Aproveitou a oportunidade para apresentar aos presentes o relatório das actividades do ano 2010, recorrendo principalmente a imagens das obras realizadas no Município durante o ano 2010. Do programa constava ainda a inauguração de dois estúdios da Rádio Comunitária da Ribeira Brava sendo que um deles ficou baptizado com o nome de Emigrante e outro de Luís Fortes. Recorde-se que Luís Fortes foi um jovem animador da Rádio, natural de Calejão e que faleceu há já alguns anos. Os emigrantes não deixaram de expressar a sua alegria por essa manifestação carinhosa da Câmara Municipal, pela realização do encontro, o que os possibilitou de tomar conhecimento das realizações e expectativas do Município, tendo em conta que o encontro com os emigrantes se realiza por ocasião do dia municipal do emigrante, que se celebra a 15 de Agosto.
