Ribeira Brava, 04 de Maio. - O Município da Ribeira Brava pretende eliminar o problema de água que dantes era uma autêntica «dor-de-cabeça» para as donas de casa e não só! A Câmara Municipal na pessoa do seu Presidente, Américo Nascimento, acompanhado pelo Representante da Cooperação Luxemburguesa, Dr. Thierry, inaugurou, no passado dia 30 de Abril, a chegada da água à povoação de Carvoeiros onde reside uma população de, aproximadamente, 240 pessoas distribuídas por 55 fogos. O acto contou com a presença de vários munícipes residentes que, pela voz do Presidente da Associação Comunitária de Desenvolvimento de Carvoeiros, agradeceram tão valiosa prenda que lhes vai garantir não só uma melhoria na qualidade de vida mas também o aproveitamento daquele tempo que era dedicado à busca da água para ser utilizado noutras actividades. O Representante da Cooperação Luxemburguesa, na sua alocução, disse que é uma grande satisfação para o seu governo saber que a sua comparticipação está a ser bem utilizada na satisfação das necessidades primárias das populações e prometeu continuar a apoiar aqueles que, de facto, trabalham em prol do desenvolvimento e bem-estar das populações. Por seu turno, o Presidente da Câmara Municipal felicitou a população por mais esta vitória e agradeceu a presença, nesse acto, de tão importante parceira que é a Cooperação Luxemburguesa e vincou a luta tenaz que vem sustentando a fim de debelar os problemas que mais afligem as populações sempre dentro do espírito democrático hierarquizando a ordem da solução dos problemas em função dos legítimos desejos da maioria.
