A Câmara Municipal da Ribeira Brava homenageia o professor Mario Tolentino (Maika), atribuindo o seu nome à rua da zona de Chãzinha, defronte à Delegação do Ministério da Educação, Liceu, Polivalente e Tribunal.
No acto de descerramento da placa, Presidida pelo Presidente da Câmara, Américo Nascimento, contando com as presenças do Presidente da Assembleia Municipal, viúva de Mário Tolentino, filhos e familiares, estiveram ainda presentes o Delegado do Ministério da Educação e Desporto, professores e pessoas amigas que, com sua presença quiseram prestar uma singela homenagem àquele que muito contribuiu para o desenvolvimento da educação e participou de forma activa na vida política da ilha de São Nicolau.
A rua que ora leva o nome do professor Maika era a que o levava diariamente ao seu posto de trabalho e que não podia ser melhor escolhida para essa homenagem bem merecida.
