Enquadrado nas actividades do mês de Março mês das mulheres, a Câmara Municipal da Ribeira Brava, em parceria com o Governo e a Comissão Regional de Parceiros (CRP), fez a entrega de oito casas sociais, no dia 30 de Março, na zona de Lombona, Ribeira Brava.

O acto da entrega das moradias foi presidido pela Senhora Ministra da Juventude, Emprego e  Desenvolvimento dos Recursos Humanos, Janira Hopffer Almada, contando com as presenças do Presidente da Câmara Municipal da Ribeira Brava, do Presidente da CRP, beneficiárias, convidados e população em geral.

A satisfação era geral, principalmente das mulheres beneficiárias que manifestaram através da Dona Joana, o seu contentamento pela prenda especial que é ter uma habitação condigna, num mês que lhes é especial.

Recorde-se que as moradias foram construídas pelas associações comunitárias de Juncalinho e Canto Fajã, sendo que alguns pedreiros dessas associações tinham sido formados recentemente pela parceria Câmara Municipal e a CRP.
