O dia 23 de Abril vai ficar registado na história de Cigana como o dia em que, pela primeira vez, as viaturas chegaram a essa localidade. Num clima de muita alegria, a viatura do Presidente da Câmara Municipal da Ribeira Brava, Américo Nascimento, foi a primeira a chegar ao alto de Cigana, para a satisfação das gentes simples dessa localidade próxima da Vila da Ribeira Brava.

Esta é a primeira fase da obra que possibilita aos moradores e não só, chegarem com os seus haveres  mais próximo das suas casas. Com essa via de acesso com certeza que uma nova fase de desenvolvimento chega a essa pacata localidade de gentes simples, mas com vontade de ver a sua zona acompanhar o ritmo do desenvolvimento do Município. Numa segunda fase serão introduzidas melhorias para permitir mais conforto e melhor qualidade à via de acesso. O certo é que o sonho de chegar de carro a Cigana tornou-se realidade. A Câmara Municipal, os seus parceiros e a população em geral estão de parabéns por mais esta vitória de desencravamento das localidades.
