Comité Spencer vai oferecer materiais informáticos e escolares à Câmara Municipal da Ribeira Brava

O Comité Spencer, uma organização não-governamental (ONG) sediada no Luxemburgo, vai oferecer à Câmara Municipal um conjunto de materiais informáticos e escolares que vão beneficiar serviços dependentes da edilidade e também a escola primária do Carriçal.
Para além desses materiais, o Comité Spencer também vai doar outros de carácter hospitalar como andarilhos e cadeiras de rodas, material ortopédico para caminhar, pranchas para natação para crianças, reboque para camião de bombeiros com respectivos tudo (com cerca de 300 metros).
A organização não-governamental vem ajudando o município da Ribeira Brava desde 2009, altura em que ficou estabelecida a cooperação entre as partes, depois de uma visita do presidente, Américo Nascimento, ao Luxemburgo.
Desta feita, o concelho vai contar, entre outras benesses, com cerca de 60 mesas simples para alunos e cerca de70 cadeiras, quadros escolares, entre outros materiais escolares, roupas.
A nível informático, o Comité Spencer doará computadores, impressoras, scanners, etc.
O contentor contendo os materiais deverá chegar dentro de dias à cidade da Ribeira Brava para posterior distribuição.
O Comité Spencer é uma associação sem fins lucrativos, fundada em Janeiro de 2002, por responsáveis da Organização Cabo-Verdiana no Luxemburgo (A.S.B.L) e por um grupo de jovens de origem cabo-verdiana, tornando-se, desde logo, uma referência na luta contra a violência.
