A Câmara Municipal já abriu as candidaturas para a concessão de subsídios para formação superior no país tendo como premissa maior a Educação que, como uma tarefa de todos, os Órgãos Autárquicos não podem nem devem, eximir-se a ela.
Consciente de que a precariedade económica de alguns agregados familiares, no nosso concelho, se constitui como um entrave à prossecução dos estudos dos seus descendentes, a Câmara Municipal considera ser seu dever instituir subsídios para a formação superior no país.
A atribuição dos subsídios será feita com base num regulamento que visa as seguintes finalidades:
- Estabelecer justiça social;
- Apoiar a continuação dos estudos a jovens cujas possibilidades económicas não lhes permitam fazê-lo apenas pelos seus próprios meios;
- Colaborar na formação de quadros técnicos superiores, residentes na área geográfica do concelho da Ribeira Brava, contribuindo assim para um maior e mais equilibrado desenvolvimento social, económico cultural.
Exceptuam-se alunos matriculados em Cursos de pós-graduação e de especialização.
