A Câmara Municipal da Ribeira Brava inaugura amanhã, sexta-feira, o edifício da Residência Estudantil que vai proporcionando as mesmas oportunidades de estudo a todos os jovens do município tendo em conta que vai albergar alunos das zonas mais distantes da cidade que queiram continuar os estudos para além do sexto ano de escolaridade.

 


A infraestrutura a ser inaugurada é mais um marco dos investimentos da autarquia no sector da Educação no sentido de potencializar, cada vez mais, o desenvolvimento do município e oferecer, equitativamente, oportunidades de estudo a todos os jovens e adolescentes da Ribeira Brava.


O acto de inauguração acontece amanhã às 10:00 horas e vai ser presidido pelo presidente da Câmara, Dr. Américo Nascimento e contará com a presença de uma delegação japonesa chefiada pelo Ministro Conselheiro da Embaixada do Japão no Senegal, Senhor FUTAISHI.

A Residência Estudantil está dimensionada para receber 40 alunos, sendo 20 do sexo masculino e 20 do sexo feminino, tem dois pisos com sala de estudos, refeitório, gabinete de administração, lavandaria, instalações sanitárias e dez quartos com capacidade para albergar 40 alunos.

A infraestrutura moderna custou cerca de16 mil contos, tendo sido co-financiada pelo Governo do Japão, através da Embaixada desse país em Dakar, em cerca de 13.000 contos, pela edilidade com 2.500 contos e o Município de Ovar, geminada com Ribeira Brava, com 1.000 contos.


Por ora, a autarquia está à procura de novas parcerias para o apetrechamento dessa residência estudantil em mobiliário e outros equipamentos para a cozinha, refeitório e sala de estudos.

A inauguração do edifício da Residência Estudantil marca o início de uma serie de actividades comemorativas do Dia do Município da Ribeira Brava, que se assinala a 06 de dezembro.
