Mais de 200 alunos recebem Kits Escolares

Mais de 200 alunos de várias escolas primárias do concelho receberam kits escolares no âmbito do Projecto Padrinho/Madrinha, desenvolvido com a Associação de Geminação de Abrantes, em Portugal, que todos os anos beneficia os alunos das Escolas do Ensino Básico Integrado (EBI) com materiais escolares.

 


A entrega foi feita na sexta-feira e contou com a presença do presidente Américo Nascimento que fez questão de estar presente em algumas escolas para fazer chegar os kits às mãos dos alunos.


Defensor de uma sociedade mais inclusiva onde a Educação tem um papel fundamental, Américo Nascimento lembrou aos alunos que são eles o futuro do país e que, por isso mesmo, devem empenhar-se nos estudos e aproveitar as benesses que municípios amigos, como é o caso de Abrantes têm vindo a proporcionar.


O vereador pela área da Educação e Formação Profissional, Francisco Lubrano, foi quem esteve à frente desta “operação”, fazendo chegar a cada aluno, desde o primeiro ao sexto ano de escolaridade, materiais como livros, cadernos, mochilas, canetas, entre outros apetrechos necessários para o ano escolar que se iniciou há pouco mais de um mês.


À Câmara de Abrantes ficaram os agradecimentos tanto do presidente como do vereador, mas especialmente das crianças que tinham um sorriso estampado no rosto.


Aos padrinhos, os alunos das escolas primárias de Caleijão, Belém, Morro Brás, Estância Brás e Covoada enviaram mensagens agradecendo o gesto simbólico mas de muita importância que, certamente, veio aliviar o orçamento dos pais.


Este é mais um resultado dos investimentos que a edilidade da Ribeira Brava tem vindo a fazer na área da Educação no sentido de potencializar, cada vez mais, o desenvolvimento do município e oferecer, equitativamente, oportunidades de estudo às crianças, jovens e adolescentes da Ribeira Brava.
