Kids Atletics fez as delícias das crianças do Município

As crianças do Ensino Básico Integrado (EBI) estiveram durante a tarde de sexta-feira no Estádio Municipal Dideus, a participar em actividades ligadas ao atletismo - Kids Atletics - enquadradas nas comemorações do Dia do Desporto Cabo-Verdiano, que este ano teve como palco central o concelho da Ribeira Brava.
Conforme a técnica da Federação Cabo-Verdiana de Atletismo, Glenda Aguilar, o Kids Atletics faz parte do Programa Mundial de Desenvolvimento de Atletismo promovido pela Federação Internacional de Atletismo.
Durante algumas horas as crianças puderam praticar vários jogos como salto, corrida, lançamentos, corridas com obstáculos, orientados para a prática do atletismo.
Para além do Kids Atletics, as crianças participaram, no mesmo dia, no MAss Volei, uma actividade que teve como propósito massificar a prática desta modalidade no município e na ilha, sendo a escolha dos mais pequenos justificada com o facto de as crianças serem mais receptíveis às novidades.
Em saudação ao Dia do Desporto Cabo-Verdiano, este ano assinalado a 04 de Novembro, Ribeira Brava foi palco central das actividades alusivas à efeméride, que contou com a presença de atletas locais e de todo o país para provas nacionais de atletismo e de ciclismo.
Para além do presidente e do staff da Câmara Municipal da Ribeira Brava, assistiram às actividades a ministra da Educação e do Desporto, Fernanda Marques, o director-geral dos Desportos, Inácio Carvalho entre outros técnicos da DGD e das Federações Cabo-Verdianas de Atletismo e Ciclismo.
A população também não quis perder as provas de ciclismo e atletismo, apoiando os atletas que muito se esforçaram para abrilhantar as provas debaixo de um sol abrasador.
