Os Telecentros do município estão mais equipados graças ao donativo do Comité Spencer permitindo que a Câmara Municipal esteja mais perto do desiderato de fazer de Ribeira Brava um município digital, com pelo menos um computador ligado à internet em cada escola e com telecentros devidamente apetrechados.

Água das Patas, Carvoeiros, Estância Brás, Cachaço, Queimadas, Lompelado e Juncalinho foram as zonas cujos telecentros foram beneficiados com os equipamentos que chegaram há bem pouco tempo do Luxemburgo, país onde a ONG está sediada.


Também a escola Luis Gominho ficou incluída na lista das instituições que usufruíram deste donativo.


Citando o presidente da Câmara Municipal, Américo Nascimento, no acto de entrega dos equipamentos, Ribeira Brava está, agora mais perto de ser um município digital, com todos os munícipes a terem acesso à internet o que vai permitir, principalmente aos jovens, vislumbrar novos horizontes.


Em nome dos representantes dos telecentros, Miguel Gomes, agradeceu os esforços da edilidade em ajudar as associações na aquisição de materiais que por sua vez vão ajudar a desenvolver outros projectos, mais concretamente no âmbito da luta contra a pobreza.


E é assim que, todos juntos, sempre com Ribeira Brava em primeiro plano vamos trabalhando, de forma responsável, para que para que a cooperação com o Comité Spencer, ou outras organizações do género, seja sempre profícua.
