Ribeira Brava recebe nota positiva do Comité Spencer pelo uso dos materiais doados

O município da Ribeira Brava, através da Câmara Municipal recebeu nota positiva do vice-presidente do Comité Spencer, Flávio Pachi que esteve de visita ao concelho para saber o destino dado aos materiais doados pela ONG.


Durante quatro dias, Flávio Pachi esteve em todas as zonas do concelho que beneficiaram dos donativos que estão a ser distribuídos desde os finais do ano passado.
Assim, os materiais escolares e informáticos e outros materiais como andarilhos, e cadeiras de rodas, estão bem entregues a escolas, instituições e telecentros.
Flávio Pachi ficou satisfeito com o que viu e garantiu que gostou muito da forma como está a ser feita a distribuição dos materiais bem como o uso que estão a ter.
Durante a sua estadia na Ribeira Brava o vice-presidente do Comité Spencer fez algumas sessões de trabalho com o técnico informático da autarquia para transmissão de informações sobre a manutenção dos equipamentos e também sobre a instalação de alguns modens.
O Comité Spencer também doou outros materiais como pranchas de natação para crianças, reboque para camião de bombeiros com respectivo tubo (com cerca de 300 metros.)
Para o presidente este é o resultado de uma forte cooperação entre o município e a ONG que se traduz neste importante donativo e da nossa parte fica mais um especial e encarecido obrigado.
A organização não-governamental vem ajudando o município da Ribeira Brava desde 2009, altura em que ficou estabelecida a cooperação entre as partes, depois de uma visita do presidente, Américo Nascimento, ao Luxemburgo.
O Comité Spencer é uma associação sem fins lucrativos, fundada em Janeiro de 2002, por responsáveis da Organização Cabo-Verdiana no Luxemburgo (A.S.B.L) e por um grupo de jovens de origem cabo-verdiana, tornando-se, desde logo, uma referência na luta contra a violência.
