Américo Nascimento e a sua equipa decidiram, na sua oitava sessão ordinária, que um dos objectivos a alcançar até o final do mandato é o ter 95 por cento dos agregados familiares com casas-de-banho.

À luz dos Objectivos de Desenvolvimento do Milénio, o executivo camarário da Ribeira Brava quer dignificar os munícipes melhorando o nível de saúde pública.

Para chegar a este desiderato, o método será a elaboração de projectos simples e pouco onerosos, mas eficientes e executados com o forte envolvimento dos beneficiários

Os esforços já estão a ser envidados e já foi elaborado um projecto neste sentido, o qual será implementado em várias localidades do município, essencialmente no meio rural, onde existe maior número de famílias carenciadas.

A autarquia tem vindo a fazer esforços para dar resposta às várias solicitações dos munícipes, construindo e equipando algumas dezenas de casas-de-banho. no ano passado a Câmara Municipal entregou, em parceria com a Cooperação Luxemburguesa 28 casas-de-banho a famílias em várias zonas do município, sempre consciente de que ainda há muito por fazer pelo que ter parcerias semelhantes é de extrema importância.
