Câmara Municipal reforça parceria com Ficase com assinatura de Protocolo

O Presidente da Câmara Municipal, Américo Nascimento, assinou, sexta-feira, um protocolo de parceria com a Fundação Cabo-Verdiana de Acção Social Escolar (Ficase) visnado reforçar a prestação de serviços a favor de crianças e jovens do Ensino Pré-escolar, Básico e Secundário oriundos de famílias com dificuldades económicas.
O protocolo abarca vários programas socioeducativos, nomeadamente, Transporte Escolar, Alimentação Escolar, Saúde Escolar, Kits Escolares, Propinas e subsídios de estudo, tudo enquadrado na estratégia do reforço das prestações sociais, que vão resultar numa educação inclusiva e de qualidade.
No acto de assinatura do acordo, Américo Nascimento defendeu que o protocolo vem reforçar o compromisso da Câmara Municipal para com a educação, já que a autarquia sempre esteve envolvida nesta causa.
Assim como o presidente da Ficase, Felisberto Moreira, Américo Nascimento vê outro lado positivo do protocolo que vai reforçar a actuação das duas instituições tendo em conta que assim se poderá evitar a duplicação de apoios e rentalizar os recursos e consequentemente aumentar o número de crianças e jovens apoiadas quer pela Fundação Cabo-Verdiana de Acção Social Escolar, quer pela Câmara Municipal.
Na Ribeira Brava já existe o lar de estudantes que quando entrar em funcionamento será uma mais-valia no sentido em o trabalho com a Ficase poderá ser mais articulada e eficaz.
A Câmara Municipal da Ribeira está assim a fazer jus ao lema escolhido pelo Ministério da Educação e Desporto para este ano lectivo, “Juntos por uma educação e desporto de qualidade”.
