O bem-estar da população é o primeiro sinal de desenvolvimento de um município. E na Ribeira Brava este parâmetro não é excepção.
Primando sempre pelo melhorar das condições de vida dos seus munícipes e do progresso integral do concelho e, volvido um ano desde que assumiram os destinos da autarquia, Américo Nascimento e a sua equipa têm traçadas as prioridades para os próximos tempos.
Assim, uma das prioridades é continuar a trabalhar para, de forma sustentável, resolver o problema de abastecimento de água no Município, com o objectivo de aproximar dos 100% de água a domicílio, até o final do mandato.
Igualmente, pretende-se alcançar os 90% de famílias do Município com casas de banho até 2016;
A melhoria dos acessos às localidades é outra meta almejada por Américo Nascimento;
Continuará a ser missão do executivo municipal procurar solução, juntamente com o Governo e com os privados, para o problema dos transportes de e para a ilha de S. Nicolau, particularmente o transporte marítimo de pessoas e bens, de aceitável qualidade;
Fica também reforçado o compromisso de continuar a trabalhar com o Governo para que todas as localidades do Município tenham energia 24h por dia até final de 2014.
Para que haja mais emprego, mais desenvolvimento e criação de riqueza local para o melhoramento da qualidade de vida da população, Américo Nascimento e a sua equipa vão continuar a trabalhar com o Governo e com instituições públicas e privadas e os munícipes de uma forma geral.
