A Câmara Municipal da ribeira Brava está a fazer de 2013 o ano zero na promoção da Cultura do município e desta feita, vai organizar um concurso de vozes, intitulado Talentos do Município visando descobrir e promover novos talentos na área da música.
A cargo de toda a organização deste evento está o vereador responsável pela área, Carlos Barbosa, que realça que o propósito da autarquia é dar, à juventude, que constitui uma faixa considerável da população mais uma alternativa nesta área.
“Isso porque nós queremos contribuir na promoção da juventude já que muitas vezes o talento dos jovens da ilha fica por explorar por falta de alternativas e oportunidades”, explica o vereador da Cultura.
Assim o concurso, que está enquadrado no programa das festas do município vai abranger todo o concelho da Ribeira Brava de modo a que todos tenham as mesmas oportunidades.
O concurso "Talentos do Município" está desenhado para começar com um casting já neste mês de Setembro em todos os povoados, abrangendo jovens dos 16 aos 35 anos. A segunda fase será de eliminatórias até se apurar seis finalistas, em galas a serem realizadas ao longo dos meses de Outubro e Novembro.
Carlos Barbosa adianta também que outro motivo, não menos importante, para a realização deste concurso que vai valorizar a capacidade dos jovens na promoção da música, é dinamizar as festas do município através de uma maior envolvência da população, principalmente da camada juvenil.
