A Câmara Municipal deu as boas vindas a um grupo de turistas que passaram esta quinta-feira pela ilha, organizando uma demonstração cultural na Praça Cónego Bouças envolvendo alguns agentes culturais, acto que agradou aos visitantes.
A recepção começou com a actuação do grupo de tamboreiros do vale da Ribeira Brava que, juntamente, com as crianças do Grupo de Dança Tradicional do Cachaço, mostraram aos turistas o que é o Colá San Jon.
Quase que de forma automática os visitantes não perderam tempo e de máquina na mão, quer de filmar quer fotográfica, registaram o momento.
Em representação do presidente da Câmara que estava ausente da ilha, o vereador Adilson Melício fez a morabeza de cumprimentar os forasteiros que entraram no município pela zona de Preguiça, onde o cruzeiro esteve fundeado.
O Grupo de Dança Tradicional do Cachaço, entrou mais uma vez “ em palco”, para uma demonstração da mazurca, da contradança e da valsa sempre sob o olhar atento dos forasteiros.
Enquanto decorria uma exposição de artesanato de rendas, bordados e de bijuterias, o cantor João Eugénio encantou os presentes com a sua voz, sendo a morna Sodade a primeira a ser cantada.
Para os turistas, na sua maioria proveniente da Alemanha, este foi um momento único que adicionado à beleza da ilha e das suas gentes pelo que ficou a promessa de voltarem mais vezes à ilha, em especial ao concelho da Ribeira Brava onde se fez sentir a morabeza dos ribeira-bravenses.
Os organizadores da excursão também deram nota positiva à iniciativa que nas suas palavras correu “excelentemente bem”.
O navio cruzeiro transporta mais de 200 pessoas que divididas em dois grupos, sendo que uma parte esteve durante a parte da manha no município do Tarrafal e também no Parque Natural do Monte Gordo.
A outra parte, cerca de 100 passageiros estiveram a conhecer a beleza do concelho da Ribeira Brava
No final da tarde de ontem os turistas seguiram caminho sendo o próximo destino a ilha de São Vicente, Santo Antão, Fogo, Brava e possivelmente Maio.
De realçar que esta é a primeira vez que um navio cruzeiro acostou na ilha de São Nicolau, a partir da zona da Preguiça.
