Caros munícipes
A mensagem que me apraz dirigir a todos os munícipes, estando eles no chão da Ribeira Brava ou espalhados pelos quatro cantos do Mundo é a de muita paz, amor, solidariedade e confiança em si mesmos, no nosso município e em Cabo Verde.
Enquanto Presidente da Câmara Municipal da Ribeira Brava podem contar com toda a minha dedicação e da equipa que tenho a honra e o orgulho de liderar, na procura de soluções para a resolução dos problemas do nosso Município. Continuaremos a trabalhar, de sol a sol, para atingir as metas traçadas para o presente mandato, tais como:
• Levar a água a todas as casas do Município, até o final de 2015;
• Ter o Município completamente electrificado, até final de 2014, levando energia 24 sob 24 horas às localidades de Morro Brás, Juncalinho e Carriçal, sendo esta última com energia renovável;
• Almejar ter mais água para a agricultura com a realização de prospecções de água subterrânea e com a barragem de Fajã, triplicar a área irrigada até 2016;
• Melhoria dos transportes de e para a ilha de S. Nicolau, principalmente os transportes marítimos, como forma de estabelecer ligações com as outras ilhas e fazer o escoamento das nossas produções;
• Aumentar a penetração da energia renovável para 40% até 2016;
• Fazer tudo o que estiver ao nosso alcance para que todas as famílias tenham uma casa de banho, por mais modesta que seja, até 2016;
• Contribuir para melhorar a qualidade do ensino, com destaque para a requalificação da escola do ensino secundário.
Estes são os principais desafios, embora existam outros. Quero contar com a vossa colaboração e participação nos desafios que iremos enfrentar juntos. Acredito e gostaria de que acreditassem que seremos capazes de, juntos, projectar e realizar os nossos sonhos. Conto convosco! Ribeira merece e está acima de tudo.
Aproveito esta quadra festiva e final do ano para desejar a todos um Santo Natal e um Ano Novo com muitas felicidades.
