A Câmara Municipal da Ribeira Brava, através do seu presidente, distinguiu com Diploma de Reconhecimento pelos resultados conseguidos nos concursos Miss Cabo Verde e Miss CEDEAO.

 


Foi no Salão Nobre perante familiares e amigos que Cristy Spencer, sentada ao lado da ex-Miss CEDEAO, Tánia Neves, também vereadora nesta autarquia, recebeu o Diploma.
O edil, Américo Nascimento, não escondeu o orgulho de estar ladeado de duas figuras importantes para a beleza cabo-verdiana – a actual  e a ex-miss Cabo Verde e CEDEAO.
“Estamos numa cerimónia simples mas carregado de significado, pois é a ocasião de distinguir o mérito de uma munícipe que acreditou nos seus sonhos e nas suas capacidades, empenhando-se para conseguir os resultados ora alcançados”, asseverou o autarca.
A vitória de Cristy, mostra que Cabo Verde é um país pequeno no tamanho mas grande nas suas vitórias. Por isso mesmo Américo Nascimento apelou à Miss que continue com vontade de vencer com humildade e que saiba tirar partido desses resultados.
Por outro lado, o presidente lançou o repto para que edilidade e a jovem se unam para juntos trabalharem, no âmbito social, para melhorar a zona de Preguiça, principalmente na área da saúde pública.
Cristy Spencer por seu lado agradeceu o reconhecimento da autarquia, como uma motivação para continuar a percorrer o seu caminho, quer a nível pessoal, quer a nível profissional.
E lembrou o apoio de todos os familiares e amigos, mas também dos anónimos que nela acreditaram e acreditam.
De lembrar que a Câmara Municipal homenageou recentemente a vencedora do concurso Talento Strela, Leontina Fortes e também os jogadores da Seleção Cabo-verdiana de Futebol, Nivaldo e Josimar, jovens que têm levado o nome de Ribeira Brava e São Nicolau além-fronteiras.
Um bem-haja a esses jovens e aos talentos por descobrir.
