O anúncio do financiamento para a requalificação da estrada que liga Ribeira Brava a Juncalinho e a consignação da obra foram motivo de grande satisfação da equipa camarária, já que o estado dessa via é preocupante.
Depois das chuvas que fustigaram a ilha em 2009 e que para trás deixaram um rasto de destruição visível na estrada para Juncalinho e não só, vários têm sido os trabalhos para manter a via.
No entanto, ja era necessário uma intervenção profunda que desse outra qualidade à estrada e aos utentes e a boa nova é que está para breve o início das obras de requalificação da via.
Américo Nascimento regozija-se por este grande investimento que vai abrir vários postos de trabalho nessa zona, o que vai beneficiar, e muito as pessoas da zona leste onde a falta de emprego é uma constante.
A obra que vai ter um custo de 250 mil contos, financiados pelo Governo de cabo Verde e pelo Banco Mundial, a consignação da obra foi feita no passado dia 07 à empresa Monte Adriano, ficando a fiscalização a cargo da Ripórtico Engenharias de Cabo Verde.
Segundo a administradora executiva do Instituto de Estradas, Leontina Ribeiro, o prazo para a requalificação dessa estrada, que figura como uma das prioridades do instituto, vai ter a duração de 10 meses.
