CMRB rubrica protocolo com RTRB para melhor cobertura do Carnaval

A autarquia ribeira-bravense e a Radiotelevisão Comunitária da Ribeira Brava rubricaram, esta manhã, um protocolo que visa patrocinar a transmissão, em directo, do Carnaval e assim levar imagens e sons do evento àqueles que estão fora da ilha.
No referido protocolo a Câmara Municipal assume o compromisso de patrocinar a transmissão criando condições logísticas com a construção do palco e fornecimento de energia, assim como a disponibilização de 50.000 escudos para cobrir todas as despesas necessárias para levar a cabo este desiderato.
No acto de assinatura, que contou com a presença dos colaboradores da RTRB e dos representantes dos três grupos oficiais do Carnaval, Américo Nascimento disse que é do interesse de todos os ribeira-bravenses, em particular, e de todos os saonicolauenes, em geral, que um dos maiores carnavais do país seja visto nos quatro cantos do mundo.
O presidente frisou a importância que a transmissão já ganhou, principalmente junto dos emigrantes que têm aderido em massa para assistir o Carnaval, onde quer que estejam.
“Estamos criar as condições para que a RTRB seja, sem menosprezar a presença e o trabalho de outros órgãos de comunicação social, o órgão oficial da transmissão do Carnaval”, explicou o presidente.
Por outro lado, enalteceu o esforço dos colaboradores, na sua maioria voluntários, que têm dado o seu “imensurável contributo” para que o Carnaval, e outros eventos importantes do concelho ultrapassem as fronteiras do município.
Já o presidente da Comissão de Gestão da RTRB, Manuel Conceição dos Santos, reforçou que estes dois órgãos de comunicação social local vão continuar a dar o seu contributo para o melhor de Ribera Brava e de São Nicolau, apesar das dificuldades financeiras que se têm feito sentir no funcionamento da RTRB.
Manuel Conceição dos Santos reforçou a parceria da edilidade que está consciente da importância da rádio e da televisão comunitária na divulgação e promoção do município onde a presença de órgãos de comunicação social nacionais é pouco expressiva
De referir que o primeiro ano em que se tomou a iniciativa de transmitir o Carnaval em directo foi em 2012 e, desde o ano passado, com a Televisão Comunitária já devidamente instituída.
