O acesso Água das Patas/ Cachaço vai ganhar nova cara depois dos trabalhos de recuperação da via que estão em curso desde janeiro último e deverão estar concluídos em Julho, limpando o rasto de destruição que as chuvas de 2009 deixaram nessa zona.


O que se pretende é fazer a reparação do piso e dos muros de protecção dessa via muito utilizada pelos munícipes, principalmente por aqueles que vivem nas duas localidades atras referidas.
Já em fase bem avançada estes trabalhos de requalificação, representam um avultado investimento da autarquia, mas necessários dada a grande utilização do acesso.
Para além desta via, a Câmara Municipal já está a envidar esforços para iniciar os trabalhos que visam melhorar o acesso carroçável em Sangala, na zona de Fajã, pretendendo que a intervenção esteja concluída em Junho do corrente ano.
num primeiro momento já foi feita uma visita ao local juntamente com o director do Gabinete Técnico e do director da obra da barragem de Fajã, tendo em conta que a edilidade e a empresa responsável pela construção, a Mota Engil, têm vindo a trabalhar em parceria.
Trata-se, segundo o presidente, Américo Nascimento, de uma reivindicação antiga da população daquela zona e avança que uma das prioridades do executivo camarário para este ano é o melhoramento das vias de penetração nas várias zonas do concelho.
