Tamboreiros de Preguiça recebem tambores para dar continuidade à Tradição

Os tamboreiros da zona de Preguiça receberam tambores confeccionados no âmbito do projecto da Câmara Municipal que visa dar continuidade à tradição com a confecção de 50 tambores, até o final do presente mandato, e que vão ser entregues nas zonas onde se festejam os santos juninos.

 Foram cinco os tambores entregues esta quinta-feira de modo a serem usados nas festas de Santo António que estão a decorrer durante esta semana, sendo hoje o dia dedicado ao Santo casamenteiro.
Os tambores ficam a cargo da Associação Comunitária da Preguiça de modo a garantir que esses materiais sejam bem conservados.
No acto de entrega, o presidente da referida associação, Edson Gomes, garantiu que se contava pelos dedos de uma mão os tambores que havia na zona e que ao ter conhecimento do projecto foi com agrado que o transmitiu aos seus pares, pois todos os que fazem a festa de Santo António querem ver perdurar a tradição.
O presidente, Américo Nascimento, pediu aos tamboreiros e à Associação que façam bom uso dos tambores, mandados construir a fundo perdido, tudo para que a Cultura e a Tradição não se percam.
Por outro lado o facto de se ter construído tambores em formato pequeno vai no sentido de incentivar os mais novos para que possam, desde cedo, aprender e afeiçoarem-se à tradição.
Para além de Preguiça, os tamboreiros da zona de Carvoeiros vão receber cinco tambores no âmbito da Agenda Cultural da Câmara Municipal que visa dinamizar a cultura e daí tirar dividendos para a economia local.
No ano passado 10 tambores foram entregues a dois grupos de tamboreiros do Vale da Ribeira Brava, sendo eles Kassav 2 e Grupo Campinho & Arredores. O objectivo é fazer 50 tambores até o final do presente mandato.
Este ano as Festas juninas em Carvoeiros, Preguiça e vila da Ribeira Brava ganham também um cartão-de-visita para acolher os visitantes.
Trata-se de lonas que vão ser afixadas nessas localidades com dizeres relacionados com Santo António, São João e São Pedro, tudo numa visão estratégica para engrandecer o município, as suas gentes e a sua cultura.
