Um Guia de circuitos turísticos da ilha de São Nicolau vai começar a ser elaborado ainda no decorrer deste ano, fruto de uma iniciativa da Câmara Municipal da Ribeira Brava visando promover e divulgar as potencialidades da ilha.

 


O documento é uma meta já muito almejada pela autarquia que quer assim dar visibilidade ao turismo da ilha, promovendo principalmente o turismo ecológico.
O Guia de Circuitos turísticos vai ter referência aos principais pontos de interesse turísticos da ilha com destaque para as maravilhas de Cabo Verde, Parque natural do Monte Gordo e Carbeirinho, nomeadamente.
Para além deste documento a Câmara Municipal tem vindo a desenvolver acções a nível do turismo como por exemplo um encontro de reflexão sobre o turismo local que teve como objectivo definir estratégias para o desenvolvimento do sector turístico no município da Ribeira Brava e consequentes resultados na economia local.
A criação de uma Agenda Cultural é outra estratégia idealizada pela autarquia para promover a Cultura e o turismo locais.
Assim, tem sido cada vez mais forte a aposta nas festas juninas que pela sua enorme dimensão cultural representam cartazes turísticos a serem preservados juntamente com as localidades promotoras dessas iniciativas culturais.
O turismo e a cultura têm-se desenhado cada vez mais como actividades onde se pode gerar recursos e a Câmara Municipal quer ter um desenvolvimento com visão estratégica para o incremento desses sectores.
