O cabo-verdiano Nelson Neves, radicado no Luxemburgo, está na Ribeira Brava para expor os seus quadros, ao mesmo tempo que está a ministrar um ateliê de pintura para crianças, duas actividades enquadrada nas actividades comemorativas do Dia do Município da Ribeira Brava.

 

O jovem pintor veio a Ribeira Brava no âmbito da cooperação entre o Comité Spencer e a Câmara Municipal da Ribeira Brava, depois de ter demonstrado interesse em participar nas Festas do Município.
Intitulada de “Evolução”, a exposição comporta 20 quadros entre o figurativo e o abstracto, pintados ao longo dos últimos 12 anos.
Cores vivas, movimento e energia são os ingredientes que podem ser apreciados em cenas quotidianas do folclore cabo-verdiano, mas também incursões fora do âmbito insular, de caracter mais universal.
A par da exposição está a decorrer um ateliê de pintura para crianças que gostam da pintura. No final da formação, os trabalhos feitos vão ser expostos numa segunda exposição onde os mais pequenos serão as estrelas e com direito a certificado de participação.
A mostra de quadros está a decorrer desde o início desta semana e termina este sábado 01 de Novembro.

A vinda de Nelson Neves a Ribeira Brava também contou com o apoio da Embaixada de Cabo Verde no Luxemburgo.
