Foram inaugurados na manhã de hoje, dia 19, o jardim-de-infância e os arruamentos requalificados na zona do Carriçal.


O presidente Américo Nascimento e a sua comitiva deslocaram-se à localidade para juntamente com a população dar mais este passo rumo ao desenvolvimento desse povoado, outrora tido como isolado.
Com ruas que têm agora novo visual, Carriçal fica assim com uma grande percentagem das ruas calcetadas.
Também foi inaugurado o Jardim Infantil, construído de raiz, graças aos esforços congregados entre a Câmara Municipal da Ribeira Brava e a ONG francesa Un Bateau pour S. Nicolau.
As crianças da localidade têm agora um espaço condigno para o ensino pré-escolar que dispo de uma sala de trabalhos, duas casas de banho, uma cozinha e respectiva despensa e um pequeno escritório.
Américo Nascimento, perante a população reforçou que os tempos são difíceis mas que +e preciso não baixar ao braços e trabalhar com afinco e seriedade para dar o merecido desenvolvimento ao concelho.
Lembrou também os trabalhos de construção da estrada calcetada para carriçal, a qual já vem sofrendo intervenções por iniciativa da edilidade contando já com cerca de três quatro quilómetros já calcetados entre Juncalinho e Carriçal.
Situada a 42 quilómetros do centro do concelho, Carriçal vai deixar de ser uma zona isolada assim que for dado seguimento à construção da estrada agora a cargo os Instituto de Estradas.
