Ribeira Brava, 01 de Out - Depois das últimas chuvas de Setembro, as vias de comunicação rodoviárias ficaram destruídas colocando os povoados do Carriçal e Covoada em situação de completo isolamento. Aquele, pela distância e este pelo acidentado do terreno e, ambos, com as vias completamente intransitáveis.

 

O Primeiro apelo da Câmara Municipal foi logo respondido. Os amigos residentes em São Vicente angariaram géneros alimentícios e outros junto de empresas locais. A resposta destas foi imediata. No sábado passado, o barco da Guarda Costeira levou géneros alimentícios aos residentes no Carriçal e, hoje, segunda-feira, coube a vez dos da Covoada receberem o apoio alimentar. Altos dirigentes da Cruz Vermelha de Cabo Verde e elementos da edilidade da Ribeira Brava estiveram presentes nessa acção humanitária conjunta.
