O município da Ribeira Brava vislumbra novas perspectivas de cooperação com instituições e ONG do Luxemburgo depois da visita de uma semana do presidente da Câmara Municipal Américo Nascimento a esse país europeu.
Em jeito de balanço dos encontros realizados com vários parceiros no Luxemburgo o presidente diz-se optimista com os resultados que podem advir desses contactos que tiveram como objectivo agradecer os apoios e reforçar as acções de cooperação dos actuais parceiros e outras instituições.
O enfoque dos contactos foi principalmente direcionado às áreas socias, nomeadamente a educação, a água, saneamento, mais concretamente sobre o programa “Uma família, uma casa-de-banho”, as energias renováveis e intercâmbios a vários níveis.
“Sobre a educação, apresentamos o projecto de apadrinhamento de alunos, materiais e equipamentos escolares e projecto do jardim infantil da Ribeira Brava. Para melhorar a qualidade da educação no município, um contentor com materiais escolares devera chegar em breve na ribeira brava”, assegurou o edil.
Em relação à água, Américo Nascimento aproveitou para apresentar o projecto de 100 por cento de ligação de água a domicilio e também projectos ligados à agricultura tendo ficado expressa a possibilidade de intercâmbio de agricultores com algum nível para ampliação de conhecimentos.
Ainda no que toca aos intercâmbios ficou a possibilidade de se efectuar trocas de experiências entre alunos o município e do Luxemburgo e entre os técnicos da autarquia e técnicos luxemburgueses em várias áreas.
O projecto de energias renováveis no Carriçal também foi apresentado aos parceiros do Luxemburgo, sem esquecer a cultura, outra área que não ficou de fora.
Neste sentido o pintor cabo-verdiano de nome Nelson Neves, em parceria com a Câmara Municipal, deverá vir a Ribeira Brava, em Outubro próximo, para fazer uma exposição e realizar um workshop de pintura com crianças.
“ O programa foi intenso e tivemos a oportunidade de estabelecer contactos com presidentes de várias Câmaras Municipais e ONG luxemburguesas e também com o Liceu de Anthénée” disse Américo Nascimento em jeito de conclusão lembrando que os Diplomas de Reconhecimento que a edilidade atribuiu aos parceiros luxemburgueses foram muito bem recebidos.
